HurricaneSymbolBOLIVIA, NC – Brunswick County has been added to FEMA’s Hurricane Matthew disaster declaration as an Individual Assistance County.

This declaration allows individuals and households with damage from Hurricane Matthew to apply to FEMA and potentially receive assistance. Those in Brunswick County can register and apply for assistance by contacting FEMA directly online at www.disasterassistance.gov or by calling 1-800-621-3362. TTY calls can be made to 1-800-462-7585 and 711 or Video Relay Service calls can be made to 1-800-621-3362.

On October 10, Brunswick County received a Public Assistance declaration, which provides assistance to local governments for things like emergency protective measures, but does not provide assistance for individuals.
