Brunswick County Commissioner Frank Williams appointed to N.C. Commission on Volunteerism & Community Service
RALEIGH – Governor Pat McCrory announced the following appointment today:
N.C. Commission on Volunteerism & Community Service
- Frank Williams (Brunswick County): Frank Williams is a member of the Brunswick County Board of Commissioners. He is a past president and charter member of the Leland Area Rotary Club and also served on the boards of directors of Communities in Schools of Brunswick County, Inc. and the North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, he served on the Brunswick Community College Small Business Center Advisory Committee and chaired two local fundraising breakfasts for the Boy Scouts of America. Professionally, he is president of Pioneer Strategies, Inc.
“I am honored that Governor McCrory has chosen to appoint me to the N.C. Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service,” said Williams. “Volunteerism is an important part of the fabric of our society, and I look forward to helping further the commission’s goal of encouraging community service and volunteerism as a means of problem solving across the state.”
Williams was sworn in at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 16, 2013 at the Brunswick County Courthouse.
