Leland Strategic Planning Meeting Postponed to October 21
BOLIVIA, N.C. — The Brunswick Vision Strategic Planning meeting scheduled for Monday, Oct. 5 at Leland Town Hall has been postponed due to flooding conditions in Brunswick County. The meeting has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 6:30 p.m. Updates to the Strategic Plan process will be posted at www.brunswickvision.com.
Brunswick County is continuing to experience flooding due to significant rainfall.
“With the ongoing flooding in southern Brunswick County, our staff needs to be focused on assisting those in harm’s way,” said Commissioner Frank Williams, Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee. “We encourage citizens throughout Brunswick County to monitor the weather and road conditions closely and take extra precautions if they must be on the road.”

Residents should not try to drive through standing or running water on roads. There is a pet-friendly shelter open at West Brunswick High School (550 Whiteville Road NW in Shallotte).
