Hurricane Florence left her mark on Brunswick County. Numerous families lost everything they owned due to devastating, unprecedented flooding. Waste Industries will resume curbside recycling collection Monday, Oct. 1. All curbside recycling routes will resume their normal schedule. Any extra recycling should be placed beside the bin in a small open box or personal container. These items should NOT be bagged; bagged items will not be collected.

Sept. 28, 2018 — Based on the laboratory analysis of water samples collected on September 27, 2018, water consumers of Brunswick County Public Utilities located in St. James Plantation, Arbor Creek Subdivision, Southgate Estates, and Sea Pines Subdivision are hereby notified that it is no longer necessary to boil water or use bottled water for human consumption.  The system has resumed normal operations. There are no longer any System Pressure Advisories for Brunswick County Public Utilities consumers.
