Repairs to Thomas Rhodes Bridge Require Overnight Lane Closures Mar. 20-24

Overnight lane closures are scheduled for the Thomas Rhodes Bridge between Monday, March 20, and Friday, March 24. Lanes will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The closures are needed so crews can safely repair minor concrete damage that was discovered during a recent inspection of the bridge. The bridge is on U.S. 17/421 in Wilmington.

“The bridge will still be open to traffic, but I recommend that drivers seek alternate routes to avoid possible delays,” said Bridge Maintenance Engineer Ron Vancleef. “If traveling in the area, please use caution and obey the posted speed limit.”
