Water service restored to all areas of the BCPU distribution system; boil water advisories remain in effect
Sept. 22, 2018 — Brunswick County Public Utilities has restored water service to all areas of the distribution system. This includes the Boiling Springs Lakes and River Mist communities. A number of boil water advisories remain in effect; click here and here for details.
Water line breaks have been isolated and water has been rerouted, while utility crews continue working hard to make repairs to damaged infrastructure caused by Hurricane Florence and subsequent flooding.
During this time, you may continue to experience lower than normal pressure or fluctuations in pressure, but all water customers of Brunswick County Public Utilities should have water service.
Customers who find they have no water service should first check to make sure their shut-off valves are on and that they have no damage to their plumbing.
If you still have no water, please contact the County’s Public Utilities Department at: 910-253-2860 or 910-253-2657 / 8am – 5pm / Monday-Friday or 910-371-3490 or 910-454-0512 /after hours.
