Williams attends Statewide Hurricane Exercise

Brunswick County Commissioner and NCACC President attended a statewide hurricane exercise at the N.C. Emergency Operations Center on May 11, 2022. The exercise was conducted by the State Emergency Response Team in advance of the upcoming hurricane season. Williams was joined by NCACC Executive Director Kevin Leonard and NCACC Director of Policy Planning Laurel Edwards.

According to a Facebook post by N.C. Emergency Management, “This exercise helps participating agencies within local, state and federal governments and the private sector review procedures and processes and practice for storm response. Keeping skills fresh and relationships strong makes for more effective response when a real disaster happens.”
