Williams speaks at dedication of 54-inch parallel raw water main

Brunswick County Commissioner Frank Williams was among the speakers at the dedication of the Lower Cape Fear Water and Sewer Authority’s Kings Bluff 54-inch Parallel Raw Water Main on May 20 in Bladen County. Williams represents Brunswick County on the LCFWASA board of directors.

The Kings Bluff 54-inch Parallel Raw Water Main is a joint project of Lower Cape Fear Water and Sewer Authority (LCFWASA), Cape Fear Public Utility Authority (CFPUA), and Brunswick County. Construction started in 2019 to build the additional transmission main line, which moves raw water 14 miles from LCFWASA’s pump station on the Cape Fear River to a three-million-gallon water storage tank in Brunswick County. This project was completed ahead of schedule and over $1 million under budget.
